Shiva – One of the prinicipal deities of Hinduism, the Supreme Being,
He is the “Destroyer of Evils” within the Trimurti, which includes Brahma, the Creator and Vishnu the Preserver.
Depiction of Shiva – Serpent around the neck, adorning the crescent moon, the holy river Ganga flowing from his matted hair, the vigorous third eye, the trishul his weapon and the damaru drum.
