The dancing Ganesha, 15th among the 32 forms of Ganesha.
Nritya in Sanskrit means "dance", Nritya Ganapathi as the name suggests is a happy dancer, a relaxing and enjoyable form of the god.
A masterpiece sculpted out of marble.
The grand arch behind the god called the prabhvali or thiruvachi chiselled with intricate details - the demon like structure in the middle, peacocks on either side on top, gandharvan playing mridangam, three-legged Bringhi rishi with a sword, the base with small figurines of 11 rats.
The statue of Ganesha in dancing posture, called Narthana/Nrithya Ganapathi. The god is standing on Muyalagan a demon dwarf who represents spiritual ignorance and nonsensical speech.
The crown and jewels of Ganesha have been carved with great attention to details.
Ganesha with 8 hands. On the left - fire flame in the first hand, second hand holding the noose (pasam), the third hand holding laddoo on which the trunk is placed and the fourth hand holding the goad (ankusam). On the right - chakra in the first hand, in the second hand his palm leaf manuscript on Mahabharata, the third hand in abhaya mudra and the last in varada mudra.
