There is a snake wrapped in his anterior right arm that represents 'Abhaya' (without any fear). His anterior left hand takes the shape of Gajahasta (Elephant hand), showering his blessings upon his devotees, and extends towards his left leg. The right foot trampled upon the demon dwarf, Apasmara. The cosmos is represented by the arch of flames or prahabhamandala. This particular arch has three separate layers which represent fire, (outside) earth, (middle) and water (inside).
