It is a complex process that requires skill and expertise in both sculpture and metal casting techniques. Also known as precision casting, it is a technique used to create bronze sculptures and other metal objects with intricate details. The process involves creating a wax model of the object, building a mold around it using plaster and silica, melting the wax out of the mold, selecting a metallic alloy, melting the alloy in a crucible, and pouring the molten metal into the mold cavity. The molten metal solidifies in the mold, and the cast object is extracted and finished.
